The SPLC is much like any other individual or organization who rely on the easily manipulated fears of others to promote division for political reasons. This is the problem with politics, regardless name, it generates people who use a rather brilliant intellect to manipulate others who simply do not have the time or desire to verify information before jumping on a bandwagon. Yes, so few have the time (or inclination) to do the research required to actually change their opinions. They would rather simply find evidence that already supports their beliefs. Many seem incapable of “thinking globally”.
