According to detectives, between February, 9 2015 and January 9, 2016, the alleged thief, armed with a large knife, struck multiple stores in Valley Stream, Franklin Square, Hewlett, Lynbrook and Elmont areas. They include stationary, pharmacy, gas station, Chinese food and pizza, liquor and beauty supply stores.
The suspect, described to be between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, enters an establishment and approaches the victim, displays a knife and demands cash from the register, cops said. The subject has taken the entire cash drawer with him in the past.In more recent robberies, police say, he takes the cash and cigarettes. He typically flees on foot from the scene, but has been seen with a white Honda Accord type vehicle with yellow New York license plates.The alleged robber has been seen with a black jacket, hooded sweatshirt under, ski mask or scarf covering his face, gloves and white soled sneakers, according to cops.
