Leaked Counter Terrorism Bulletin Warns Police of Impending ‘Far-Right Violence’ | Reclaim Our Republic & InfoWars

Bulletin warns of those who believe in “government gun confiscation”

June 13, 2014 by Mikael Thalen

A leaked New York State Counter Terrorism Bulletin provided exclusively to Infowars reveals how law enforcement are being told to prepare for increased violence from “far-right extremists.”

Published by the New York State Intelligence Center, the document, entitled “CTB 14-07: Recent Spike in Violence Targeting Law Enforcement,” details several recent shootings while warning police to be on the look out for people displaying anti-government viewpoints. Excerpts:

“Over the last week there have been three attacks – one in Canada and two in the United States – in which law enforcement officers were targeted, leading to the death of five officers and one civilian,” the bulletin states. “Based upon reporting it appears all the suspects in these incidents were motivated by elements of a far right anti-government ideology with a particular fixation on law enforcement.

Michael Brian Vanderboegh, a longtime militia member and founder of the III Percent Patriot Movement which was supported by Jerad and Amanda Miller, traveled to NYS at least once in 2013 to speak to the Liberty Oath Keepers meeting in Monticello, NY.  The III Percent Patriots are a militia group comprised primarily of gun rights extremists who believe in the need to use violence against the government to prevent what they believe to be an impending seizure of all private firearms. The name derives from “an obscure, and not particularly accurate, Revolutionary War ‘statistic’ that claimed that only 3% of the American population during the Revolutionary War participated as combatants in the war. ..

The Oath Keepers is an organization composed of current and former military and law enforcement personnel who take a pledge to not obey unconstitutional orders such as orders to disarm the American people, to conduct warrantless searches, or to detain Americans as enemy combatants.  There have been multiple observed instances of overlapping membership in the Oath Keepers and the III Percent Patriots, and the Oath Keepers’ founder has spoken supportively of the III Percent Patriot Movement.

The recent attacks serve to highlight a trend of growing violence by far right extremists that is likely to continue in the near term.  While attacks by lone offenders or small groups, common amongst far right extremists, are often difficult to detect and can occur with little or no warning, law enforcement should remain vigilant to any indicators or suspicious activity related to the persistent far right extremist threat...”

Son, Will You Fire On American Citizens? | The Captain’s Journal

Interesting read.

Please click the link for an update on the Maryland gun restriction vs. veterans vs. business vs. hypocrite scum politician situation.

(By the way, LWRC makes one HELL of a piston-driven AR.  I have a couple, somewhere, if i recall. Just saying.  GE. )

David Codrea passes along a statement from LWRC International where they have told us that they will move their company out of Maryland if the proposed unconstitutional gun ban passes. I appreciate their patriotism, and I have already weighed in informing Beretta that they must move as well if they wish to survive as a company.

But there’s some fascinating movement in the proposed weapons ban in Maryland. I must quote at length.

“When hunters argued that Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley’s proposed assault-weapons ban would ruin their sport, state lawmakers were not moved. When devotees of the National Rifle Association cried that it would trample on their constitutional rights, lawmakers did not blink....  via The Captain’s Journal.

Court to consider whether speedy approval of NY gun controls violated constitution | Fox

ALBANY, N.Y. – A New York state judge agreed Friday to consider whether the state’s tough new gun restrictions were rushed into law in violation of the state constitution. State Supreme Court Justice Gerald Connolly signed an order granting the request for a hearing by plaintiffs who are challenging Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s decision to waive the three-day review usually required before votes on bills, according to LoHud.com.

The plaintiffs argue the law violates the guarantees of free speech, property ownership and the right to petition the government guaranteed under the state and federal constitutions.

Plaintiff Robert Schulz called Cuomo a “king” for pushing through the nation’s toughest gun law by suspending the three-day vetting period by submitting a “message of necessity” on the law, which allows the constitutional waiting period to be suspended.

The Right Way to Combat Gun Violence | Reason.com

The Right Way to Combat Gun Violence:  Most gun control ideas are irrelevant or impossible.  Steve Chapman | February 25, 2013

Public policy is a lot like math: No matter what the problem, the wrong answers are far more numerous than the right ones. This is particularly true on the subject of mass shootings and other firearms violence, which have stimulated a new fervor for barking up the wrong tree.

Many liberals think the answer to mass shootings and street crime lies in stricter gun regulation: banning “assault weapons,” limiting the capacity of magazines or, in their unrestrained moments, adopting ultra-stringent laws like those in Britain or Australia.

But most of these ideas are irrelevant or impossible. Even if the Second Amendment didn’t prevent it, Americans would never stand for a near-total ban on ownership of semiautomatic weapons, a la Australia, or of handguns, as in Britain. You might as well expect Nebraska to build 300 miles of oceanfront beaches. Continue reading

My Letter to Ted Cruz on Gun Control Proposals | Prof. Randy Burnett via Volokh

posted by Randy Barnett • February 12, 2013 12:17 pm

Today, the Senate Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Human Rights is holding a hearing on proposals for new gun controls.  Below is my letter to the Ranking Member, Senator Ted Cruz, which expands upon a brief op-ed of mine, Gun Control Fails Rationality Test, that ran in the Washington Examiner a couple weeks ago:

Hon. Ted Cruz, Ranking Member….

Dear Senator Cruz,

Within minutes of the Sandy Hook murders, gun control advocates began exploiting this horrific event to promote their favored policies. I know this because I was contacted by reporters to respond to these calls even before I had heard that the event had taken place moments before. This was far too early to know what had happened, much less how and why. Yet the drum beat had begun for long sought after measures that would not have prevented these murders. That drum beat continues. Continue reading

NY Paper Publishes Legal Gun Permit Holders Names in Print & Online | AMI Global Security

…December 23rd 2012 a New York Newspaper Printed the names and addresses of every Licensed Pistol Permit holder in two Counties [poster’s note: Rockland and Westchester]  and another County is being posted shortly! This is a massive privacy breach and the latest in a series of over the top emotional reactions to the latest shooting tragedy in Sandy Hook CT meant to intimidate the lawful and  prey on peoples fears to exploit the gun grabbing agenda.

In an article title “The gun owner next door: What you don’t know about the weapons in your neighborhood” the paper linked to an interactive map titled: “Map: Where are the gun permits in your neighborhood?” where you can search neighborhoods to see who received a legal permit to own a hand gun license listed by name and address…

GE Rant: Sen. Bob Menedez’ (D-NJ) OpEd arguing why New Jersey’s unconstituional gun laws need to go national | APP

GE Rant Warning (long):  I am loathe, loathe to wade into the morass of the 2nd Amendment discussion because so many of you are smarter and more well informed than I.  But as the top of my head is about to come off, I will keep this brief and – likely – unintelligible.

In my opinion Senators Mendenez, Lautenberg, Schumer and their ilk are morally bankrupt,  deluded or simple.  These men are career pols, public parasites and – at heart – each is a collectivist and authoritarian in my view.  They value and defend only their own life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, yours and mine is a problem to be managed for the ‘common good.’

Schumer may, from time to time, visit his wife Iris Weinshall for lunch in the Bronx (she’s on CUNY’s public teat. Tt’s a family thing)  … but we are assured he is driven only to the good section. Lautenberg leaves New Jersey spends his weekends and summers in Martha’s Vineyard where – to the best of my knowledge – the Crips and MS-13 have yet to gain a foothold.  Menendez seems to have his staffers writing disjunct, illogical falsehoods about his states gun control laws, while he and his security detail are likely off on a summer trip sponsored by the AFL-CIO or the Bankers Association. Menendez opines:

It could have happened here in New Jersey. We knew this as we learned of the horrible gun violence that erupted in Aurora, Colo., July 20. Continue reading

101 reasons why you need an “assault rifle” | Ammoland

By Evan F. Nappen, Attorney at Law.  … A question we are all tired of hearing in the so-called “debate” over so-called “assault weapons” is, “why does anybody need one?”

Here is the answer once and for all: You need an assault weapon—

1. to help continue the American tradition of citizen/soldier.
2. for recreation.
3. to collect military small arms.
4. to get quick extra shots at more game while hunting.
5. to get quick extra shots at the same game while hunting. Continue reading

The Price of Gun Control |Dan Baum, Harper’s

… It’s true that America’s rate of violent crime remains higher than that in most European countries. But to focus on guns is to dodge a painful truth. America is more violent than other countries because Americans are more violent than other people. Our abundant guns surely make assaults more deadly.  But by obsessing over inanimate pieces of metal, we avoid looking at what brings us more often than others to commit violent acts.

Many liberal critics understand this when it comes to drug policy. The modern, sophisticated position is that demonizing chemicals is a reductive and ineffective way to address complicated social pathologies. When it comes to gun violence, though, the conversation often stops at the tool, because it is more comfortable to blame it than to examine ourselves…via The Price of Gun Control—By Dan Baum Harper’s Magazine.

Maryland gun permit law struck | Washington Times

A federal judge has ordered Maryland officials to stop enforcing a law barring state residents from receiving concealed-carry handgun permits unless they provide a “good and substantial reason” to carry their weapons in public.

U.S. District Court Judge Benson Everett Legg on Monday lifted the stay on his March ruling, which struck down a Maryland law requiring applicants to prove that they need to carry a gun for workplace duties or as protection from a specific threat. The order goes into effect Aug. 7. Continue reading

Accountability | Ol’ Remus & the Woodpile Report

6/26/2012

The Justice Department’s Fast and Furious was the first part of an under-the-radar gun control stunt where legitimate gun dealers were coerced to sell guns to Mexican gang straw purchasers. When these guns were used in crimes the source would be “discovered” and “prove” the case against the “easily availability of guns” in the US. But whistleblowers within the BATFE—and yes, there are honorable people in the BATFE—leaked the operation. The affair was taken up by a House investigative committee. For a useful timeline and summary, see Sen. Grassley’s article here. Continue reading

Fast and Furious Falling Apart | American Thinker

When BATF agents first blew the whistle on what is now known as Operation Fast and Furious, the rationale offered by DoJ for such an evidently foolish operation was that it was designed to allow BATF to track and prosecute the leaders of the Mexican drug cartels.  As more information surfaced from the Mexican government and the BATF’s Mexican bureau chief specifying that none of them knew anything of this operation, many of us who were paying a bit closer attention to the case immediately smelled the first foul scent of corruption. Cato report describes cases of self-defense with guns | Madison.com

The Cato Institute is singing the praises of gun ownership.  The conservative think tank has released a report, “Tough Targets: When Criminals Face Armed Resistance from Citizens,” that makes the case that law-abiding, gun-toting citizens routinely thwart criminal acts. “The vast majority of gun owners are ethical and competent,” say the authors. “That means tens of thousands of crimes are prevented each year by ordinary citizens with guns.” Continue reading

“Dangerous” Microstamping Bill Would Ban Guns in New York | NSSF

For the fourth year in a row, anti-gun legislators from New York City have introduced firearms microstamping legislation Assembly Bill 1157b that would result in banning firearms in the Empire State.  Microstamping is a patented process that micro-laser engraves the firearm’s make, model and serial number on the tip of the gun’s firing pin so that, in theory, it imprints the information on discharged cartridge cases.  If microstamping were to become law, firearms manufacturers would be forced to employ this patented, sole-sourced concept that independent studies, including those from the National Academy of Sciences and the University of California at Davis, found to be flawed and easily defeated by criminals… the concept of microstamping is unreliable and does not function as the patent holder claims. That study noted that microstamping can be easily defeated in mere seconds using common household tools and criminals could simply switch engraved firing pins for readily available unmarked spare parts, thereby circumventing the process.

President Obama’s Anti-Gun Agenda Shows No Sign Of Stopping | Fox News

President Obama keeps pushing for gun control.

“I just want you to know that we are working on [gun control].  We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar,” President Obama told Sarah Brady, the former president of the Brady Campaign, this past spring.

His push as been quiet but relentless.

Just this past week Obama signaled that he was going to just ignore two new parts of the 2012 Omnibus Spending bill. Although he signed the spending bill into law, he simultaneously issued a so-called “signing statement,” a note that presidents have started attaching to legislation stating how they interpret the law they are signing or whether they believe part of it is unconstitutional.

Documents: ATF used “Fast and Furious” to make the case for gun regulations | CBS News

Documents obtained by CBS News show that the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ATF discussed using their covert operation “Fast and Furious” to argue for controversial new rules about gun sales.

In Fast and Furious, ATF secretly encouraged gun dealers to sell to suspected traffickers for Mexican drug cartels to go after the “big fish.” But ATF whistleblowers told CBS News and Congress it was a dangerous practice called “gunwalking,” and it put thousands of weapons on the street. Many were used in violent crimes in Mexico. Two were found at the murder scene of a U.S. Border Patrol agent.

Was Fast and Furious All About Gun Control? | Power Line

“… If the Obama administration did arrange for the shipment of arms to Mexican drug gangs, not for any legitimate public purpose but in order to advance a left-wing political agenda, and those guns were used to murder hundreds of Mexicans and at least one American border agent–which they were–then we are looking at a scandal that dwarfs any in modern American history…”

Likely Collapse of the Euro Leads to Second Amendment Lessons | New American

“…According to Mitchell (who is a senior fellow at the Cato Institute), some wealthy Europeans are preparing for a level of chaos in their respective countries worthy of the title, “apocalyptic.” In Mitchell’s words:

About a year ago, I spoke at a conference in Europe that attracted a lot of very rich people from all over the continent, as well as a lot of people who manage money for high-net-worth individuals.

What made this conference remarkable was not the presentations, though they were generally quite interesting. The stunning part of the conference was learning — as part of casual conversation during breaks, meals, and other socializing time — how many rich people are planning for the eventual collapse of European society.

Not stagnation. Not gradual decline. Collapse.

As in riots, social disarray, plundering, and chaos. A non-trivial number of these people think the rioting in places such as Greece and England is just the tip of the iceberg, and they have plans — if bad things begin to happen — to escape to jurisdictions ranging from Australia to Costa Rica (several of them remarked that they no longer see the U.S. as a good long-run refuge)…”

Why Grandpa carries a gun …

Why Grandpa carries a gun. I asked him, “Why Carry a Gun Grandpa?” My old grandpa said to me ‘Son, there comes a time in every man’s life when he stops bustin’ knuckles and starts bustin’ caps and usually it’s when he becomes too old to take an ass whoopin.’  I don’t carry a gun to kill people.  I carry a gun to keep from being killed. I don’t carry a gun to scare people.  I carry a gun because sometimes this world can be a scary place. I don’t carry a gun because I’m paranoid. I carry a gun because there are real threats in the world.  I don’t carry a gun because I’m evil. I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the world.  I don’t carry a gun because I hate the government. I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government. I don’t carry a gun because I’m angry.

I carry a gun so that I don’t have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared. I don’t carry a gun because I want to shoot someone.

I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon. I don’t carry a gun because I’m a cowboy. I carry a gun because, when I die and go to heaven, I want to be a cowboy. I don’t carry a gun to make me feel like a man. I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love. I don’t carry a gun because I feel inadequate. I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate. I don’t carry a gun because I love it. I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me. Police protection is an oxymoron. Free citizens must protect themselves. Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess. Personally, I carry a gun because I’m too young to die and too old to take an ass whoopin’.   Author unknown (but obviously brilliant) —

A LITTLE GUN HISTORY

  • In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
  • In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
  • Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
  • China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
  • Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
  • Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
  • Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
  • Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

You won’t see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens. Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late!  The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.  With guns, we are ‘citizens’. Without them, we are ‘subjects’. During WW II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were armed. If you value your freedom, please spread this anti gun-control message to all of your friends. The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either.

The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.

SWITZERLAND ISSUES EVERY HOUSEHOLD A GUN. SWITZERLAND’S GOVERNMENT TRAINS EVERY ADULT THEY ISSUE A RIFLE. SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!! IT’S A NO BRAINER. DON’T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET.

I am a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment.
