New York Woman Awarded $1.2M for False Gun Arrest & Being a Tea Party Member.

Hahahahaha!!  Congratulations Long Island  taxpayers… another job well done for you by your politically motivated finest.  Enjoy your impending tax increase.

ANTZ-IN-PANTZ ......

Looks like a Federal Jury is going to make this Sheriff’s Department pay for terrorizing an American Citizen exercising her rights to freedom.

A Long Island mother of three arrested for taking pictures of an Air National Guard base in the Hamptons – while armed to the teeth with a licensed assault rifle in her car — has been awarded $1.12 million by a federal jury over her false prosecution by Suffolk County authorities.

The Central Islip jury on Thursday sided with Nancy Genovese, 58, in a 2010 lawsuit she filed against Suffolk County, its Sheriff’s Office and other parties, claiming she was only arrested during the July 2009 incident because she belonged to the Tea Party.

Can Police Search Your Cell Phone Without a Warrant? The Supreme Court is About to Decide | Liberty Blitzkrieg

Two very important cases related to the 4th Amendment protection of cellphone data went before the Supreme Court yesterday. At issue here is whether or not police can search someone’s cellphone upon arrest. As usual, the Obama administration’s Justice Department is arguing against the citizenry, and in favor of the (police) state. Let’s not forget that the “Justice” Department also argued in favor of the police being able to place GPS tracking devices on people’s cars without a warrant back in 2011. Fortunately, the Supreme Court ruled against it.

Naturally, the feds in the current case will discuss all of the criminals they were able to bring to justice as a result of these privacy violations, but they will certainly not point out America’s current epidemic of unlawful arrests, as well as arrests for petty non-violent crimes that happen each and every day. For instance, let’s not forget statistics that came out last fall from the FBI that showed police make an arrest every two seconds in the USA. I covered this in detail in my post: Land of the Free: American Police Make an Arrest Every 2 Seconds in 2012. Continue reading

Police: NYU Student With “Arsenal Of Imitation Assault Weapons” Arrested

Grey Enigma Comments:

  1. If they are not weapons, can they be a f’g “arsenal”?
  2. Why were the janitors snooping in the kids room, were looking for his underwear?
  3. Does one have no right to privacy at NYU?
  4. Where are the in house anti-authority liberal attack squads to protest this abrogation of individual rights?
  5. Why is blood squirting out of my eyeballs now that I have read this story?
  6. Where do I begin to add commentary to this… only in NYC would this even seem possible.

Rodney Brossart, American Arrested Using Predator Drone, Had Rights Violated, Lawyer Says | HuffPo

Bruce Quick, attorney for the first American arrested using an unmanned drone says his client was subject to “guerrilla-like police tactics.” Quick tells U.S. News that Lakota, N.D., resident Rodney Brossart should not have been arrested and that authorities had no legal right to use the drone to aid in his capture.

The whole thing is full of constitutional violations,” Quick told U.S. News. “The drone use is a secondary concern.”

Brossart was in a dispute with authorities over the ownership of six cows that had meandered onto his land. The Grand Forks SWAT team borrowed a Predator drone from the Department of Homeland security to make sure it was safe to arrest Brossart, authorities told the paper…. via Rodney Brossart, American Arrested using predator drone at Huffington Post.

Contempt of TSA | Coyote Blog

Coyote stated:

TSA screening checkpoints police state

“…I have written frequently of the non-crime called “contempt of cop” which seems to be at the heart of so many bad arrests and harassment incidents.

Well, you will be happy to know that the helpful folks at the TSA want the same power, to be able to arrest anyone who does not show them proper respect and deference... “
