If you haven’t caught the video out there on Huma Abedin, do yourself a favor this weekend and check it out. If you had any residual doubt about which way your vote should go, I promise this one will settle it. We already know that Hillary has no interest in keeping our secrets. And now the mole within is revealed. American Thinker has done a great piece of work, check out the full thing.
In a word, Huma was raised in a culture of Islam at its most barbaric and violent. It is now chilling to contemplate that for the four years of Hillary Clinton’s position of as Secretary of State, Abedin had access to everything Hillary did. And now the FBI has found 650,000 Hillary emails on her perverted husband’s computer.
Huma Abedin, though born in the States, grew up in Saudi Arabia, ages 2-18, in a family…
A previously-arrested 6’3″-tall man attacks a 68 year old woman, slashing her throat.
Got enough gun control in New York yet?
Police have identified a man they believe is responsible for slashing a 68-year-old woman’s throat in Brooklyn. Investigators are looking for Gregory Alfred, 25. The NYPD released a booking photo of him from last year.
Alfred approached the 68-year-old woman from behind March 10 on Beverley Road in Prospect Park South and slashed her throat. Alfred is 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs around 170 pounds …. Source: NYPD Identifies Suspect

LISLE — Doreen Barker never wanted to leave New York.
Originally from Dryden, a dairy town near Ithaca, Barker, 40, and Richard Barrows, 53, decided in early 2009 to bring animals back to the 350-acre, 165-year-old Barrows Farm in Lisle.
They started with chickens, adding cows — and the watering system and other infrastructure necessary to have them — in the coming years. They invested in rotational grazing, raised calves for meat to be sold locally and dreamed of soon having a value-added dairy operation.
Then they realized they simply couldn’t afford to do so.
Barrows and Barker likely aren’t the only farmers to come to that conclusion. According to the Agribusiness Friendliness Index, released early last year by three Colorado State University researchers, New York is one of the least friendly states in the country — ranked 49 out of 50 — when it comes to agribusiness.
“It’s most of the measures dealing with government that really seem to knock New York down,” said researcher Gregory Perry, who also is the head of the university’s Agricultural and Resource Economics department.
Perry said New York is 41st in property taxes, 46th in infrastructure and dead last when it comes to ease of filing a lawsuit — in other words, it’s easy for neighbors to take farms to court over nuisance smells and the like, and it’s hard for farms to win.
Joe Morrissey, public information officer for the state Department of Agriculture and Markets, doesn’t agree.
“We couldn’t disagree more with this report’s findings about New York, which we believe has a thriving agricultural sector thanks in great part to a strong partnership between state government and industry,” he said in an email. “In fact, New York farmers set a record in 2013 with $5.68 billion in cash receipts, which was more than $1 billion (more) than just three years earlier. New York is also a national leader in dairy, maple syrup and apple production, and we rank in the top 10 nationally in a number of fruit and vegetable categories.”
Morrissey said over the past four years, the state has set forth policies, passed laws and initiated marketing programs that have led to an all-time high interest in New York agriculture. They include:
• Launch of the Taste NY marketing program;
• Revamping of the farmland protection program;
•Legislation on the first-ever farm cidery and farm brewery license, as well as the Craft NY Act to further the growth of the farm-based beverage industry;
• Legislation to cap agricultural land assessments at 2 percent per year, ensuring a predictable tax climate for farmers; and…
(ANTIMEDIA) NEW YORK, NY- NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton announced Thursday that 350 heavily armed NYPD officers, called the “Strategic Response Group,” will soon be patrolling protests and the city at large.
He said the new strain of hyper-armed police will be
“…equipped and trained in ways that our normal patrol officers are not. They’ll be equipped with all the extra heavy protective gear, with the long rifles and machine guns — unfortunately sometimes necessary in these instances.”
Lumping protesters in with terrorists, he said the permanent force will deal with “disorder control and counterterrorism protection capabilities.” It will allegedly assist on crime scenes and help with “crowd control and other large-scale events.”
It is not unusual for authorities to ramp up “security”…
” The NYPD is investigating the alleged beating and illegal stop-and-search of a decorated Marine veteran in Queens by a pair of undercover cops, the Daily News has learned.
The disturbing incident occurred Jan. 15 as NYPD commanders were putting heat on cops to boost arrest activity in the wake of a massive work slowdown, just a stone’s throw from the new Police Academy where Commissioner Bill Bratton delivered a tough-sounding speech last year vowing to kick bad apples off the force.
The allegations are detailed in a $5 million notice of claim against the NYPD … Omar Rendon, 25, a former Marine sergeant, said he was sitting in his Acura sedan in an Ulmer St. parking lot in College Point, Queens while on his lunch break last week, eating a Subway sandwich and watching “Wentworth” on his cell phone, when an unmarked blue van pulled alongside him. … via NY Daily News.
The Delaware County, New York, sheriff’s office does not believe there is any credible threat emanating from an Islamic commune within their jurisdiction that serves as the national headquarters for a Muslim organization previously accused of engaging in paramilitary training within the U.S.
Craig Dumont, deputy sheriff of Delaware County, appeared Sunday on “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” on New York’s AM 970 The Answer, where he downplayed concern about Islamberg, a 70-acre rural hamlet that is the headquarters for Muslims of the America, Inc., or MOA. MOA was founded by controversial Pakistani Sufi cleric Mubarak Ali Gilani.
Dumont told Klein his office has been inside Islamberg on a number of occasions and that he has been “perplexed” by recent news media reports of alleged jihadist training camps.
“It’s kind of perplexing to us,” he said. “All this recent media attention in regard to potential terrorist training camps and things that are going on there. We don’t see it. We just don’t find any of that to be valid at this time. … There are no active threats that we are aware of at this time.” Continue reading →
Excerpted from AP — New York Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver – a Manhattan Democrat – was arrested Thursday on public corruption charges, accused of using his position to obtain millions of dollars in bribes and kickbacks masked as legitimate income.
The 70-year-old Silver was taken into custody around 8 a.m. at the FBI’s New York City office, FBI spokesman Peter Donald confirmed. Silver faces five counts, including conspiracy and bribery charges. He was expected to make a court appearance later Thursday… According to a criminal complaint, Silver “received more than $6 million in outside income from two law firms since late 2002.” Authorities said Silver abused power.
“Silver used the power and influence of his official position to obtain for himself millions of dollars in bribes and kickbacks masked as legitimate income earned by Silver as private lawyer,” the complaint said…
The Democrat from Manhattan’s Lower East Side has served as speaker for more than two decades. The arrest sent shock waves through Albany as a new legislative session has begun and it came just a day after Silver shared the stage with Gov. Andrew Cuomo during his State of the State address.
U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara took over the files of New York’s Moreland anti-corruption commission after Cuomo closed it in April. He said in October that investigations into Albany’s pay-to-play politics are continuing. The commission and Bharara were looking into lawmakers’ earnings outside their state salaries. Silver’s outside income has long been a subject of discussion and controversy. Last year, he reported making up to $750,000 for legal work, mostly with the trial firm of Weitz & Luxenberg.
When the commission began to investigate public corruption in 2013, including outside income earned by Silver and other state legislators, “Silver took legal action and other steps to prevent the disclosure of such information,” the complaint said. Following news of his arrest, NYGOP spokesman David Laska released a statement saying it was “another sad day for New York” and called on Silver to “immediately resign from the State Assembly.”
Where to begin with this allegation… Behold 36 year old Mike Kelsey: Attorney, County Elected Official, Outdoors Enthusiast, Photographer and – it seems – lover of boys.
A county legislator from downstate New York is charged with sexual abuse for allegedly touching two teen-age boys in the Cranberry Lake area last summer. Michael N. Kelsey (R), 36, of Pleasant Valley, NY, was arrested by state police in Wappingers Falls Monday night.
“My understanding is that Mr. Kelsey is a boy scout leader. He was up here on a boy scout camping trip with several boys and he did touch at least two of them,” said St. Lawrence County District Attorney Mary Rain.
He was charged with sexual abuse, first degree, forcible touching and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
“The most serious charge is sexual abuse in the first degree. Sexual abuse first is a felony which carries up to seven years in state prison per child,” said Rain.
Kelsey was arraigned in Town of Pierrepont court Tuesday morning before Judge Robert Camp. He was freed on $2,500 bail.
Scott Armstrong, president of the Boy Scouts Longhouse Council – which covers St. Lawrence County – said the incident had nothing to do with the Longhouse Council and did not take place on locally operated scouting property. Kelsey was banned from scouting in October.
Armstrong said it was his understanding the charges stemmed from a trip made by Scouts from the Hudson Valley to the Cranberry Lake area. State police said Kelsey inappropriately touched two 15 year old boys during a trip August 13 and 14.
The chairman of the Dutchess County legislature, Rob Rollison, said in a statement that Kelsey should resign. “The news regarding the charges against Legislator Michael Kelsey are sad and deeply disturbing,” Rollison said. “We must be mindful that the allegations involve children and so our concern, first and foremost, must be for their safety and well-being. While he is allowed due process in a court of law, given the severity of the charges it is in the best interest of all for Michael Kelsey to step down from his position as legislator at this time.”
As well, Kelsey just lost a very tight race for state Assembly. According to his assembly web site, Kelsey is a lawyer, a part-time professor and “an avid outdoors man” who has climbed the Adirondack high peaks.
So here we have yet another f**cking pervert involved with the Boy Scouts (recently pressured to require admission of gay scouts and staff), as well as involved with a once Catholic institution. I have had enough.
Cameras: the great equalizer. Behold Deputy Sgt. Shawn R. Glans (No, I am not making that up… how appropriate) getting his panties in a wad after being told to uphold the law and obtain a search warrant. You see, these two nitwits (Adam Roberts and Colin Fitch) reportedly had left a .22 rifle on the back seat of their car in the Peoples Socialist Republic of NewYorkistan. Not a good move boys…
But, Deputy Sgt. Pencil-Dick shows up – for whatever reason – and wants to get into the parked, locked car. Stasi theatre of the Absurd ensues:
Now, the stress of the day-to-day that may have caused the fine deputy’s lapse in judgement may have been compounded by the paltry compensation he endured – $87,156 in 2014 – exacerbated by the fact that he only got a $7,000 raise (or overtime?) in the past year. I.e:
Shawn R and his wife Carrie M. (nee Bohanon) Glans reportedly purchased the home at 3 Tanglewood Drive, South Glens Falls NY on or about March 19, 2014 for $204,000 from Dolores Chittendon Here is what that house reportedly looked like in 2013 – before the purchase.
A New York deputy with the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department was caught on film early Friday morning slapping a young man who declined to have his vehicle searched. According to Adam Roberts, who spoke with Infowars after uploading the disturbing video to YouTube, he and his friend Colin Fitch were approached by two deputies while shopping inside a WalMart that evening.
After being forced to present their IDs, the pair were taken outside to Colin’s vehicle and asked about a .22 rifle on the backseat.
As Colin explained that he had just purchased the rifle earlier that day at a nearby store, a deputy Shawn Glans began demanding access to the vehicle, despite Colin proving that he was of legal age to own it.
“So they started questioning us and were very ornery and asking about the gun and what not and then Colin asked him what we had done wrong and what he was charging us with and he didn’t give us a good answer,” Roberts said.
Choosing to assert his Fourth Amendment, Colin told Deputy Glans that he would not consent to a search unless a warrant was obtained.
“But he said he wanted to search the car… and my friend Colin asked him what his reason was for and the cop went on about how he just wanted to check, and Colin didn’t really feel like he had a real reason.”
After failing to coerce Colin into opening the vehicle, Deputy Glans became irate, ironically at the constitutional right he swore to uphold.
“Let me see your f*cking keys… I’m searching your f*cking car,” Deputy Glans said, taking Colin’s keys against his will.
Now it seems that Storm Trooper Penis-Glans is not quite a stranger to unprofessional behavior. In March,1996 he cost the citizens of NewYorkistan millions in an attempt to relive the adrenaline rush of The Dukes of Hazard shows he watched in the 70’s, turning taxpayer Douglas H. McEachron into a non-taxpaying quadriplegic, by hurtling thru a 20mph zone at about 60 mph before the impact. I.e.:
James: A lot has been written warning us of what will happen when the City Dwellers find their homes are untenable and vacate [en masse as The Golden Horde] for “the country”, but I haven’t seen anything on what the make-up of these hordes will be. The generic term “city dwellers” encompasses a lot of territory. Who will they be,what kind of shape will they be in, how will they be armed…all of these need to be examined. One category needs to be examined, I feel, more closely than others. Since I have seen posts on your site lately dealing with the nitty-gritty, unpleasant aspects of prepping, I think this is a needed look into what’s out there. I’ve been a cop over 20 years, my last uniform assignment before moving to Investigator being a two year stretch of Anti-Crime patrols in the Section 8 Housing projects of my city. This put me into contact with some of the “Worst of the Worst” that will be fleeing the cities in time of trouble. Gang-bangers, common street thugs, dope dealers and users, all have a place in the hierarchy of the streets. And they will certainly be part of what preppers will be facing in times of troubles. Here’s some of what I have learned:
The bottom rung is occupied by the drug addicts and users. They exist, not live as we understand the word. They have no assets, no goals, no drive. But they do have an almost animal instinct to continue living. They will be armed with anything they can steal or lay hands on. Most will have a knife of razor box cutter, and some sort of cheap pistol, or they will not live to get out of the city. Since they have no resources or assets, they will be on the edge of starvation and desperation almost within a day of an event. With no fixed residence or place to defend, they will be hitting the road and coming towards us. They will become violent without any provocation and there will be no negotiating or bargaining with them. They don’t want to hear your story or excuses. All they want is what you have. And have no doubts: They will do anything to get what they want. And this does include catering to their most base instincts of rape, murder and mutilation. Letting someone like this even close to you and what you have is flirting with death.
In New York, former state trooper Brian Beardsley is now clear of any criminal charges following the announced yesterday of Hamilton County District Attorney James Curry that the grand jury had dismissed an earlier felony charge. Beardsley was charged after he ran over Chad Finch, 20, (left) who had fallen in the road. Beardsley, who was returning from a party with this girlfriend, pulled over briefly and she called police. However, they then left the scene and returned home.
A sick new ‘game’ making its rounds on social media inspired a group of young teenagers to assault a 13-year-old Jewish girl in Crown Heights. The name of the game is ‘What the hell are they?’
The game’s objective is as follows: If someone is wearing nicer shoes than you, you must hit them on their feet or legs, shout “what the he** are they” and run away.
The incident occurred yesterday, Tuesday, October 28, at around 5:00pm.
The victim, a 13-year-old student of Beis Rivkah, was walking along Lefferts Ave. when three young teens – two girls and a boy – approached her. One of the girls shoved and kicked her, then shouted the game’s mantra.
The victim did not immediately understand what they said to her, but later on, when police explained the ‘game’ to her, she recalled that it was indeed what had been said.
A passerby witnessed the assault and immediately called Shomrim. Others joined in and chased the assailant, who fled down Brooklyn Avenue, then down East New York Avenue and into the Public Library on New York Avenue and Maple Street. There she remained in an attempt to hide from police.
Police arrived shortly thereafter, and after Shomrim brought the witness – another young Jewish girl – the assailant was identified and taken into custody. She was discovered to be ‘only’ 12-years-old, and her parents were called down to the precinct. Continue reading →
Bulletin warns of those who believe in “government gun confiscation”
June 13, 2014 by Mikael Thalen
A leaked New York State Counter Terrorism Bulletin provided exclusively to Infowars reveals how law enforcement are being told to prepare for increased violence from “far-right extremists.”
Published by the New York State Intelligence Center, the document, entitled “CTB 14-07: Recent Spike in Violence Targeting Law Enforcement,” details several recent shootings while warning police to be on the look out for people displaying anti-government viewpoints. Excerpts:
“Over the last week there have been three attacks – one in Canada and two in the United States – in which law enforcement officers were targeted, leading to the death of five officers and one civilian,” the bulletin states. “Based upon reporting it appears all the suspects in these incidents were motivated by elements of a far right anti-government ideology with a particular fixation on law enforcement. …
Michael Brian Vanderboegh, a longtime militia member and founder of the III Percent Patriot Movement which was supported by Jerad and Amanda Miller, traveled to NYS at least once in 2013 to speak to the Liberty Oath Keepers meeting in Monticello, NY. The III Percent Patriots are a militia group comprised primarily of gun rights extremists who believe in the need to use violence against the government to prevent what they believe to be an impending seizure of all private firearms. The name derives from “an obscure, and not particularly accurate, Revolutionary War ‘statistic’ that claimed that only 3% of the American population during the Revolutionary War participated as combatants in the war. ..
The Oath Keepers is an organization composed of current and former military and law enforcement personnel who take a pledge to not obey unconstitutional orders such as orders to disarm the American people, to conduct warrantless searches, or to detain Americans as enemy combatants. There have been multiple observed instances of overlapping membership in the Oath Keepers and the III Percent Patriots, and the Oath Keepers’ founder has spoken supportively of the III Percent Patriot Movement.
The recent attacks serve to highlight a trend of growing violence by far right extremists that is likely to continue in the near term. While attacks by lone offenders or small groups, common amongst far right extremists, are often difficult to detect and can occur with little or no warning, law enforcement should remain vigilant to any indicators or suspicious activity related to the persistent far right extremist threat...”
If anyone thinks the great state of New York’s government has lost their bearings, this should do it. These are the same ones who are against the death penalty. Makes sense doesn’t it, in the Progressive’s world.
The so-called Women’s Equality Act, which allows late-term abortions in New York for virtually any reason, has returned.
A group of pro-abortion Democratic State Senators continued to push today for abortion-expansion, despite polls showing the overwhelming majority of New Yorkers oppose their dangerous agenda. And the bill has grisly consequences.
In abortions that take place later in pregnancy, which would be legalized in New York by the abortion-expanding Women’s Equality Act, often babies are killed by sliding a needle filled with a chemical agent, such as digoxin, into the beating heart, before being delivered.
New York State Right to Life commented on reintroduction of the so-called “Women’s Equality Act” and pointed to another…
Daily Finance: Puking Monkey is an electronics tinkerer, so he hacked his RFID-enabled E-ZPass to set off a light and a “moo cow” every time it was being read. Then he drove around New York. His tag got milked multiple times on the short drive from Times Square to Madison Square Garden in mid-town Manhattan. This isn’t a part of the Lower Manhattan Security Initiative, the millions-dollar project emulating London’s Ring of Steel with extreme surveillance.
As you know, the New York Safe Act was passed in the middle of the night by the New York City dominated New York State Legislature and signed by a Governor who would be president, without any input from the people. Who will be safer under this unconstitutional law? It definitely will not be the law-abiding citizens of New York who, if we comply, would have some of our ability to defend ourselves taken away. The law might be better named the NY SAFE ACT FOR CRIMINALS because violent criminals who carry illegal guns will never comply. They have never complied with any gun control laws and they will continue to use all banned weapons with the largest capacity magazines they can get their hands on. Only the law-abiding citizens like us and police officers like you, will now be at a disadvantage, not the criminals.
Legislators stunned the pundits this evening by defeating a $200 million taxpayer giveaway to illegal aliens students in New York’s Senate, which had the strong support of Governor Andrew Cuomo.
The ‘DREAM Act’ was defeated by a 30-29 vote in the state Senate just minutes ago in Albany. The bill would have allowed college students in the country illegally to get state financial aid. The state Assembly passed the measure last month.
The measure included up to $200 million in the state budget to open up Tuition Assistance Program money for students at both public and private colleges. Senate Democrats had claimed the bill would “only” cost $25 million — but the number was exposed as grossly underestimated by New York’s Democrat Comptroller.
After the bill failed in the state Senate, Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver issued a statement that read, in part, “The Senate’s refusal to pass this crucial measure is disappointing to me, but more importantly, it is blatantly unfair to the thousands of talented, ambitious young New Yorkers who are being denied a college education, simply because of their immigration status.”
Callers against taxpayer funds for illegal aliens were active, and may well have made this difference in this very close vote. Also worthy of salute were patriotic and these days, brave legislators who stood against this giveaway for illegal aliens. One such legislator was Nicole Malliotakis R,C,I-Brooklyn, Staten Island who rightly asked ”where is the compassion for taxpaying, law-abiding immigrants and citizens” trying to afford their college cost:
” A number of East Williamsburg and Bushwick residents were surprised by a combined federal and NYPD raid on Devoe Street early Sunday morning. Some were disturbed by a loud, low-flying helicopter, while others were simply stopped from going home because the street was blocked off.
Witnesses spotted a big Department of Homeland Security truck as well as DHS agents toting machine guns as they raided 221 Devoe Street. The NYPD was also involved, and one officer told a resident that the bust turned up “kilos of heroin.” (Apparently the drugs may have been from out of the country, hence DHS.)
A resident in a neighboring building told us that he and his partner “were utterly confused and frankly terrorized…I literally had a flashlight-gun pointed at me from a sniper on top of the black armored truck…
(Eric Pfeiffer) For a growing number of Americans, there may never be such a thing as real retirement.
“The market is filled with people who are petrified of the idea of retiring because they might not have the funding to afford retirement,” Goalinvestor.com’s Melissa Doran Rayer, whose company provides financial planning services and created a data chart to show how retirement trends are shifting, told Yahoo News in a recent interview.
From 1990 to 2010, the percentage of workers 65 and older staying in the job market rose for both women (from 28.2 to 43.8 percent) and men (52.5 to 65.3 percent).
Interestingly, those trends have occurred in the 35-plus years since the Revenue Act of 1978 was passed, allowing workers to invest tax-deferred savings in 401(k) plans.
There have also been broad cutbacks to pensions across the U.S. A recent analysis found that more than 20 million American workers…
Lockport City Judge William Watson found that it was unconstitutional for a city police officer to count the number of rounds in a pistol magazine during a traffic stop last year without a warrant. (Photo credit: Lockport Journal)
via Guns.com: A municipal court judge in New York ruled Wednesday that Paul Wojdan’s rights were violated when police counted the number of rounds in his handgun and then charged him with violations under the SAFE Act.
Lockport City Judge William Watson dropped misdemeanor charges against Wojdan, which stemmed from an October 2013 encounter with Lockport Police officers.
At a traffic stop Wojdan was found to have 10 rounds in the magazine of his legally owned pistol, in violation of the SAFE Act’s arbitrary seven-round limit.
Should the governor of Connecticut decide to go through with forcible house-by-house searching it will lead to shooting and loss of lives. The question to be pondered is whether or not such a grave risk is prudent, unless it is to cover some type of FALSE FLAG OPERATION that has been practiced and bolstered through drama and theatrics. Sandy Hook Elementary School, in that case would be revealed as many have be claiming, as a False Flag Operation perpetrated by the government. Possibility exists that should there be violence, it will only spread, then what of, property damage, physical injury, serious physical injury, and death, resulting?” comment by Brittius
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo made some notable comments about opponents of his showpiece gun control law, known as the SAFE Act.
“The Republican Party candidates are running against the SAFE Act—it was voted for by moderate Republicans who run the Senate! Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are. ” NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo, to Susan Arbetter via blog.timesunion.com
A clarification posted at the Governor’s web site, not further attributed, claims he meant only to insult and expel representatives of conservatives, not conservatives themselves. A later posting, attributed to Mylan Denerstein, the Governor’s Executive Deputy Attorney General for Social Justice (sic), takes the form of an open letter to Frederic Dicker, a columnist at the New York Post and local talk show host. She characterizes Mr. Dicker as an extreme conservative—two words never far apart in official missives—who maliciously misrepresented Cuomo’s words with the intent of causing mischief in an election year. I echo STLloyd’s comments on this, i.e. “You all know how I feel about Alex Jones, take anything he says with a grain of salt because he sensationalizes to the hilt, however, he also is often the “first on the spot” when something is going on that our government isn’t telling us about. The threat this country is under right now is very real. That much is for certain. ” GE.

They say he was arrested at 11 p.m. Friday night. Gumbinger’s body was found Wednesday morning after a caretaker suspected something was wrong inside the woman’s house and called police. Up-Chuck Schumer turns out a SOLID 100 people to rally for more pointless gun laws. These rubes, dupes and socialists are reportedly from from his 16th district, which voted 95% Democrat for Obama on a turnout of 131,000 in 2008.
Perhaps it’s me, but the ‘male’ supporters behind the barricades look like metro-sexual, quasi-men of the urbane, useless and incompetent stripe. Just saying….
Days after the stinging defeat of gun control measures in the Senate, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and gun-safety advocates rallied to show continued support for cracking down on guns.
About 100 people gathered outside Schumer’s Manhattan office to vow to push on despite the defeat of a measure to expand background checks for gun purchases…via NY Daily News.
I must admit feeling left out from this, had I only known… Instead I was hunting with my son. Not seeing any fair game, we just shot up an old vehicle in the woods instead. I don’t think Schumer or his bath-house buddies would approve.
State Assemblyman Ray Walter says when he saw the news coverage of David Lewis’ case, he knew immediately something was “seriously wrong.” Walter wants some answers, when he meets face-to-face with the State Police Superintendent in Albany next Tuesday.
…Lewis was forced to turn in his seven handguns and stripped of his pistol permit. After State Police in Albany identified him – instead of a different David Lewis in another county – as being too mentally ill to own them…
“What’s supposed to happen, according to the NY SAFE Act, is this: When a mental health professional deems someone a threat to himself or others, she reports that to her supervisor.
Definition of ‘mental health professional’ ?
Definition of ‘threat’ ?
The supervisor notifies the county health commissioner, who sends only non-clinical information – such as the person’s name, date of birth, and Social Security number – to State Police and the Division of Criminal Justice Services.
They are supposed to check that information against their records. If the person has a gun permit, police get back in touch with the county.
“…John Doe, an upstanding professional with no outstanding criminal convictions and no history of violent action received a letter from the Pistol Permit Department informing him that his license was immediately revoked upon information that he was seeing a therapist for anxiety and had been prescribed an anxiety drug. He was never suicidal, never violent, and has no criminal history. The New York State Department of Health is apparently conducting a search of medical records to determine who is being treated for anxiety drugs and using this as a basis for handgun license revocation.
The National Rifle Association on Thursday joined the the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, other sportsmen’s groups, firearms businesses and individual gun owners in a lawsuit challenging the state’s strict new gun control law.

A Western New York man now faces seven years in prison for violating Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s new gun control-law, the NY Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act (or SAFE Act).
Benjamin M. Wassell, an Iraq War veteran, was charged with twice selling newly banned military-style ‘assault’ weapons and standard-capacity magazines to an undercover police officer as part of a sting operation conducted by State Police and the New York Attorney General’s Office, the Buffalo News reported.
Altogether, the 32-year-old Silver Creek resident was slapped with three felony charges and one misdemeanor, which as noted could end up putting Wassell, who has no prior convictions, behind bars for as many as seven years.
“By selling these illegal firearms, Mr. Wassell’s actions had potentially dangerous consequences for New Yorkers,” said state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. “We have seen far too much gun violence in our state in recent months, and the sale of illegal semiautomatic weapons will not go unpunished.”
On Jan. 24 Wassell sold a Del-Ton AR-15 to an undercover agent along with six standard-capacity magazines and 299 rounds of ammunition for $1,900.
Due do the fact that the rifle has one or more military cosmetic characteristics, i.e. a detachable magazine, a pistol grip and a telescoping stock, it is considered an ‘assault’ weapon under the NY SAFE Act and cannot be sold to anyone but a licensed dealer or an out-of-state citizen.
The first sale Wassell made to the undercover officer was made nine days after the Governor rammed through the law in the dead of night after waving the mandatory three-day legislative review period. Instead of arresting Wassell after his first offense, the investigators held out and remained undercover to see if he would sell another banned firearm. Unfortunately, he did…
Thoughts and analysis. This is only beginning.
Gun owners in the Empire State should be on high-alert moving forward. Both Cuomo and NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg will continue to appropriate state and city resources to conducting sting operations that attempt to entrap law-abiding gun owners.
NY SAFE Act: Question on ‘Assault’ Weapons Registration
The way it looks, lawmakers want to ensure that this law is taken seriously. Previously legal firearms are now banned. And if you fail to register them in the coming weeks, you’re now a criminal in the eyes of the state.
Also, please note that these laws do not only apply to firearms, but magazines as well. The NY SAFE Act put a retroactive ban on magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. If you’re caught with a 10-plus round magazine, you’re a criminal. If you load more than seven rounds in your ten round magazine, you’re in violation of the law.
The U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decisions regarding police powers were mixed, thus offering a reminder to civil libertarians that they cannot depend upon the high court to protect the public from unwarranted government intrusions.
“The U.S. Supreme Court handed police one victory and one loss on Tuesday,” reported National Public Radio. “In one decision, the justices limited the power of police to detain people who are away from their homes when police conduct a search. And in a second case, the justices ruled that drug-sniffing dogs don’t have to get every sniff right in order for a search to be valid.” Continue reading →

…”I personally am totally opposed to the New York SAFE Act, and I’m opposed to all the people who voted for it,” said Board of Supervisors Chairman William Waldon of Johnstown, who said his colleagues were united in their hopes to fight the law.
The 1,500-word position statement was drafted and unanimously approved last month by 52 members of the New York State Sheriff’s Association, including Fulton County Sheriff Thomas Lorey, Montgomery County Sheriff Michael Amato and Hamilton County Sheriff Karl Abrams.
The sheriffs said parts of the state’s new SAFE Act, which will track more purchases of firearms and ammunition and make some existing guns, magazines and clips illegal, are too broad, while other parts limit rights of legal gun owners. The entire law, which local lawmakers said was rushed through the state Senate and Assembly, is difficult for gun owners, businesses and even police officials to understand, the position says.
Two business days after the sheriffs approved the language, Lorey presented it to the Board of Supervisors’ Public Safety Committee, which unanimously approved it, setting up Monday’s vote by the full board. The Public Safety Committee in Montgomery County also passed a similar measure, and a resolution is under way in Hamilton County.
“I’m sure the other counties are going to step on board,” said board Vice Chairman Linda Kemper of Northampton, who chairs the county Public Safety Committee. “It might be a matter of what position they take or what parts of the sheriff’s association position they endorse, but [we] endorsed all their findings.”
Kemper said there was no debate among supervisors Monday – only widespread disgust for the law and the way it was passed.
“There was a lot of discussion, and a lot of it was about the process – that it was shoved through in the middle of the night behind closed doors,” she said, adding that even the most religious supervisors and the ones who don’t own guns were passionate about fighting the law.
“The big picture is big brother is taking over your personal rights, gaining everything you have a right to,” she said.
[Fulton County Sheriff] Lorey did not return a phone message seeking comment Wednesday and could not be reached this morning, but he said Monday at the Fulton County Republican Club’s Lincoln Day dinner that this is a big issue that won’t go away. He followed that up Tuesday with a short speech at a gun rally in Albany.
“I’ve got a simple message: I’m not coming to take your guns. Not today. Not ever,” he shouted through a megaphone, adding, “Fulton County is a come-and-take-it county, not a bend-over county.”…
Citizens and local authorities are waking up to the tyranny that is rearing it’s ugly head in the United States today. On Thursday, the Oswego County Legislature approved a resolution against parts of New York State’s new gun laws. The measure passed by a unanimous vote (25-0)!
The measure says the new Safe Act has a severe impact on guns that are used for safe recreation. It argues that state lawmakers didn’t have enough time to review it before it was passed. A copy of the resolution will be on its way to both Barack Obama and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Out of the 23 bills recently filed in New Jersey, three dealing with mental health evaluations as a condition of issuance of FID cards contain potential severe unintended consequences that could invalidate every FID card in the state. They are A3688 (sponsors: Mainor and Jimenez), A3667 (sponsors: Cryan, O’Donnell, and Jasey) and A3676 (sponsor: Jimenez.) All three of these bills require a mental health evaluation approved by the Superintendent of State police as a condition for issuance of a New Jersey Firearms Purchaser ID card under N.J.S. 2C:58-3c. Failure to do so is explicitly a “disability” under N.J.S. 2C:58-3c
A3676 also requires a privacy invading in-home inspection as a condition for issuance of an FID card, and A3688 requires submission of a list of household members with mental illness to the police to receive an FID card. Failure to obey these requirements are also explicitly “disabilities” under N.J.S. 2C:58-3c.
New Jersey law provides that an FID card is void if the holder becomes subject to a “disability.” Accordingly, if these bills take effect, ALL persons already holding an FID card who have not had the home inspection, psychological evaluation, or provided the list of household members (and thereby overcome the “disabilities” imposed by the legislation) MUST TURN IN their Firearms ID card to the Police. The turn in must be done within 5 days by law or face prosecution for 4th Degree Crime (Felony -18 months prison time.) TAKE OUT YOUR OWN FID AND READ THE WARNING ON THE BACK… Continue reading →
Quite a few years ago I swore an Oath – one not too dissimilar from the one the titular leaders of our Republic swore as well. In my case, here is what I promised:
I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.
I and many other patriotic Americans are at or nearing a breaking point regarding the actions of our leaders and the direction of this country. To those who would say that we are disaffected, unemployed stressed out rednecks, bitterly clinging to our God and guns, I assure that you’re kidding yourself. We are your neighbors, friends, uncles, coaches, pastors, scoutmasters, store clerks and mailmen. We are, by most measures, most of the people in this nation. Continue reading →
