And this is a problem. While getting the occasional Trump supporter to change his mind would be a good thing–their votes ‘count double’ (Trump loses a vote; Clinton gains one)–I would argue that there are two major groups that have been neglected. The first are ‘demoralized Dems‘, which includes registered Democrats and independents who lean Democratic. They often feel betrayed by the Democratic Party but will almost never vote for a Republican, certainly not Il Trumpe. On economic issues, they are typically left-leaning and working-class oriented. It’s worth noting that 25 percent of Obama’s votes in 2012 came from white working class voters (other estimates claim 34 percent). Not 25 percent of the white working class voted for him, but one in four Obama votes were cast by a member of the white working class.

Bulletin warns of those who believe in “government gun confiscation”

A leaked New York State Counter Terrorism Bulletin provided exclusively to Infowars reveals how law enforcement are being told to prepare for increased violence from “far-right extremists.”
Published by the New York State Intelligence Center, the document, entitled “CTB 14-07: Recent Spike in Violence Targeting Law Enforcement,” details several recent shootings while warning police to be on the look out for people displaying anti-government viewpoints. Excerpts:
“Over the last week there have been three attacks – one in Canada and two in the United States – in which law enforcement officers were targeted, leading to the death of five officers and one civilian,” the bulletin states. “Based upon reporting it appears all the suspects in these incidents were motivated by elements of a far right anti-government ideology with a particular fixation on law enforcement. …
Michael Brian Vanderboegh, a longtime militia member and founder of the III Percent Patriot Movement which was supported by Jerad and Amanda Miller, traveled to NYS at least once in 2013 to speak to the Liberty Oath Keepers meeting in Monticello, NY. The III Percent Patriots are a militia group comprised primarily of gun rights extremists who believe in the need to use violence against the government to prevent what they believe to be an impending seizure of all private firearms. The name derives from “an obscure, and not particularly accurate, Revolutionary War ‘statistic’ that claimed that only 3% of the American population during the Revolutionary War participated as combatants in the war. ..
The Oath Keepers is an organization composed of current and former military and law enforcement personnel who take a pledge to not obey unconstitutional orders such as orders to disarm the American people, to conduct warrantless searches, or to detain Americans as enemy combatants. There have been multiple observed instances of overlapping membership in the Oath Keepers and the III Percent Patriots, and the Oath Keepers’ founder has spoken supportively of the III Percent Patriot Movement.
The recent attacks serve to highlight a trend of growing violence by far right extremists that is likely to continue in the near term. While attacks by lone offenders or small groups, common amongst far right extremists, are often difficult to detect and can occur with little or no warning, law enforcement should remain vigilant to any indicators or suspicious activity related to the persistent far right extremist threat...”
Rancher Cliven Bundy looks like he could still be in a heap of trouble for having thoroughly ticked off Fedzilla and the Keebler elf himself, Harry Reid.
Being the peacemaking Christian that I am, herewith are ten ways Cliven Bundy could get the Feds off his backside and actually ingratiate himself to the big government droogies of the Left.
1. Bundy should fire his ranch foreman and hire Jay Carney who could effectively lie his butt off about Cliven’s cows. “Eating grass? His cows aren’t eating grass. What are you talking about? These are the most transparent, grass adverse, cows ever.”
2. Bundy should rename his ranch “Benghazi” , then the Feds would never show up. Ever.
3. Staying with the Benghazi motif, Bundy could also blame his cows’ raid upon the BLM’s grass flats the result of an anti-Muslim YouTube video. Case closed.
Legislators stunned the pundits this evening by defeating a $200 million taxpayer giveaway to illegal aliens students in New York’s Senate, which had the strong support of Governor Andrew Cuomo.
The ‘DREAM Act’ was defeated by a 30-29 vote in the state Senate just minutes ago in Albany. The bill would have allowed college students in the country illegally to get state financial aid. The state Assembly passed the measure last month.
The measure included up to $200 million in the state budget to open up Tuition Assistance Program money for students at both public and private colleges. Senate Democrats had claimed the bill would “only” cost $25 million — but the number was exposed as grossly underestimated by New York’s Democrat Comptroller.
After the bill failed in the state Senate, Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver issued a statement that read, in part, “The Senate’s refusal to pass this crucial measure is disappointing to me, but more importantly, it is blatantly unfair to the thousands of talented, ambitious young New Yorkers who are being denied a college education, simply because of their immigration status.”
Callers against taxpayer funds for illegal aliens were active, and may well have made this difference in this very close vote.Also worthy of salute were patriotic and these days, brave legislators who stood against this giveaway for illegal aliens. One such legislator was Nicole Malliotakis R,C,I-Brooklyn, Staten Island who rightly asked ”where is the compassion for taxpaying, law-abiding immigrants and citizens” trying to afford their college cost:
And as a partial counterpoint to the WSJ article on the same subject, I post this for your consideration. In a nutshell, the progressives at Mother Jones see gun supporters in the same bile-green light of disgust and noblesse oblige as they have always. Mother’s view of the NRA, however, as some disembodied corporate entity unrelated to the will (and money) of a large number of American patriots is logically dissonant. I.e.:

On NBC’s Meet the Press last month, National Rifle Association honcho Wayne LaPierre, the face of the American gun lobby, delivered this message to New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg: “He’s going to find out that this is a country of the people, by the people, and for the people, and he can’t spend enough of his $27 billion to try to impose his will on the American public. He can’t buy America.” The day before, Bloomberg had announced that he would spend $12 million of his own money on an ad blitz pressing members of Congress to pass new legislation expanding background checks for gun purchases. LaPierre went on national television to tell the mayor that all those millions wouldn’t make the difference in the fight in Congress over new gun laws.
The fact that this sort of collectivist, progressive agitprop can be trotted out in open company, let alone on television by a major network, shows once again how far we have gone down into the moral shitter. h/t Liberty Blitzkrieg
This is such an incredibly creepy video it’s actually hard for me to believe it’s real. Professor of political science at Tulane University and MSNBC host, Melissa Harris-Perry states the following:
“…We have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents or kids belong to their families and recognize that kids belong to whole communities. Once it’s everyone’s responsibility, and not just the household’s, then we start making better investments.”

OK, not horrific but a little weird, and not exactly what the majority of Americans were reared under either. Similarly with Barak Obama, or Elena Kagan, or Sonya Sotomayor, and on and on and on. Thus I believe that progressivism may have at its core a psychological foundation rooted in a home life that was too far outside the bell curve, or at least far enough beyond the normal range of the human developmental experience for a more ‘normal’ world view to obtain in adulthood.

President Obama has said that his push to effectively delete the Second Amendment will face “significant resistance.” It is time to show him and those in Congress how much resistance there is for any sort of additional gun bans and/or registration requirements in a peaceful and lawful manner. Print copies of this and dispatch them to your Congresspeople, The White House, and staple them to telephone poles and other locations across the country.

It turns out that around this time, Vernon Jarrett was a leader of the Chicago chapter of American Youth for Democracy – the youth wing of the Communist Party.
Chicago communist journalist Frank Marshall Davis was a national sponsor of American Youth for Democracy, as well as being a Progressive Party supporter. Both Davis and Jarrett worked on the radical Chicago Defender newspaper and in 1948, both served on the publicity committee of the Citizens’ Committee to Aid Packing-House Workers.

Later that year, Frank Marshall Davis moved to Hawaii, where he met and mentored a young boy named Barack Obama. Vernon Jarrett stayed in Chicago, where he became a prominent columnist. Coincidentally he used this column in 2004 to urge black voters to vote in the 2004 Senate primaries for Barack Obama.
Vernon Jarrett, was also the father-in-law of a friend of the Obama family named Valerie Jarrett, who now serves as the president’s most trusted adviser in the White House. This program has been underway for a very long time folks.

If you are an American, your freedom of speech is under attack. Over the past week, remarks made by Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy defending traditional marriage have sparked controversy all over the nation. Many Americans have expressed support for his remarks and many have expressed disdain for his remarks. And all of that is fine, because in the United States people are supposed to be able to express their opinions. But in Chicago, Boston and other U.S. cities, politicians are actually promising to keep any more Chick-fil-A stores from opening because their CEO does not support gay marriage, and that crosses the line. When politicians threaten to ban a business from their cities just because the CEO does not hold the “politically correct” position on a social issue that is an attack on the freedom of speech of every American. You see, the truth is that the enforcers of political correctness in America are very “tolerant” except when somebody disagrees with them… via The American Dream.
