Inside a Failed State (2007): Zimbabwe, once one of the most prosperous nations in Africa, now has the lowest life expectancy and highest inflation rate in the world. Life has become an everyday struggle for survival. The supermarkets in Bulawayo are all empty. According to the shopkeeper, the last time they had bread was “a month ago”. Filming secretly undercover, journalist Ginny Stein captures the desperation everywhere. “There is no water. Nothing, just nothing”, laments ‘Tony’. “Children are hungry, everyone is hungry. Our government is a monster”. Even if there were things in the shops, most people couldn’t afford them. A teacher’s monthly salary now buys the equivalent of one MacDonald’s family meal. Malnutrition is taking its toll on people’s health. “Up to 75% of the people coming in have diarrhea and vomiting”, states Dr Thandazani. The fear is that these problems will only get worse. In July, the government forced businesses to half their prices. Now it’s proposing to nationalize 51% of all white-owned businesses. “The economy must be in the hands of Zimbabweans”, states Ambassador Khaya Moyo. But unsurprisingly, manufacturers and retailers feel they’re being made new enemies of the state.

Major Findings
- The evidence suggests that if there is police racial bias in arrests it is negligible. Victim and witness surveys show that police arrest violent criminals in close proportion to the rates at which criminals of different races commit violent crimes.
- Both violent and nonviolent crime has been declining in the United States since a high in 1993. 2015 saw a disturbing rise in murder in major American cities that some observers associated with depolicing” in response to intense media and public scrutiny of police activity.
Crime rates
- There are dramatic race differences in crime rates. Asians have the lowest rates, followed by whites, and then Hispanics. Blacks have notably high crime rates. This pattern holds true for virtually all crime categories and for virtually all age groups.
- In 2013, a black was six times more likely than a nonblack to commit murder, and 12 times more likely to murder someone of another race than to be murdered by someone of another race.
Interracial crime
- In 2013, of the approximately 660,000 crimes of interracial violence that involved blacks and whites, blacks were the perpetrators 85 percent of the time. This meant a black person was 27 times more likely to attack a white person than vice versa. A Hispanic was eight times more likely to attack a white person than vice versa.
Urban centers
- In 2014 in New York City, a black was 31 times more likely than a white to be arrested for murder, and a Hispanic was 12.4 times more likely. For the crime of “shooting”—defined as firing a bullet that hits someone—a black was 98.4 times more likely than a white to be arrested, and a Hispanic was 23.6 times more likely.
- If New York City were all white, the murder rate would drop by 91 percent, the robbery rate by 81 percent, and the shootings rate by 97 percent.
- In an all-white Chicago, murder would decline 90 percent, rape by 81 percent, and robbery by 90 percent.
Police shootings
- In 2015, a black person was 2.45 times more likely than a white person to be shot and killed by the police. A Hispanic person was 1.21 times more likely. These figures are well within what would be expected given race differences in crime rates and likelihood to resist arrest.
- In 2015, police killings of blacks accounted for approximately 4 percent of homicides of blacks. Police killings of unarmed blacks accounted for approximately 0.6 percent of homicides of blacks. The overwhelming majority of black homicide victims (93 percent from 1980 to 2008) were killed by blacks…

As if New York did not have enough homegrown idiots, dirtbags and criminals, these two prizes were brought in from out of state (likely on taxpayer or school dollars) to play hoops. I.e.:

Seems that DeShaun Thrower was brought in Muskegon MI where he played hoops at a couple of the excellent public high schools there. The other peach – Rayshaun McGrew – was brought in from a vocational school in Chicago-stan. Thats right: Not even smart enough to attend a Chicago public school, but amply intellectual to hack it at Stony Brook University it seems.
Perhaps they boosted the money from the person’s car because they needed to pay their $21,000 annual out-of-state tuition. Oh wait, that’s right, the OTHER students (and the taxpayers) are paying thier way most likely.
NJ gun control law success story: 2 dead in Newark, official blames “too many guns”
NEWARK, N.J. … two people have been fatally shot in Newark. It happened around 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Clinton Place. Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose blames the deaths on “the availability of too many guns.” He called the slayings of the two people, identified only as one male and one female, as “senseless” and “tragic.”
No arrests had been made in the early hours of the investigation, which is still active and ongoing. Authorities said more information will be released as it becomes available.

Coram (Long Island) N.Y. — Suffolk County Police uncovered a large drug operation allegedly run by father and son. Police found 730 grams of cocaine, 318 grams of heroin, 36 grams of oxycodone and $200,000 in cash at the Fearon’s home at 1902 Avalon Pines Drive in Coram. Joseph Fearon, 40, lives there. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia. His son, Jasheme, 23, lives in Middle Island. The Talk: Nonblack Version |Taki’s Magazine
There is much talk about “the talk.”

There is a talk that nonblack Americans have with their kids, too. My own kids, now 19 and 16, have had it in bits and pieces as subtopics have arisen. If I were to assemble it into a single talk, it would look something like the following. * * * * * * * * * * * * *
(1) Among your fellow citizens are forty million who identify as black, and whom I shall refer to as black. The cumbersome (and MLK-noncompliant) term “African-American” seems to be in decline, thank goodness. “Colored” and “Negro” are archaisms. What you must call “the ‘N’ word” is used freely among blacks but is taboo to nonblacks. “There is a talk that nonblack Americans have with their kids, too.”
(2) American blacks are descended from West African populations, with some white and aboriginal-American admixture. The overall average of non-African admixture is 20-25 percent. The admixture distribution is nonlinear, though: “It seems that around 10 percent of the African American population is more than half European in ancestry.” (Same link.)
(3) Your own ancestry is mixed north-European and northeast-Asian, but blacks will take you to be white.
(4) The default principle in everyday personal encounters is, that as a fellow citizen, with the same rights and obligations as yourself, any individual black is entitled to the same courtesies you would extend to a nonblack citizen. That is basic good manners and good citizenship. In some unusual circumstances, however—e.g., paragraph (10h) below—this default principle should be overridden by considerations of personal safety. God Save Us from Federal Help
I read, with the joy that I usually reserve for recurrent migraines, that Precedent Obama will establish an Office of African-American Education, thus furthering the racial Balkanization of the country, providing makework jobs for useless bureaucrats and, predictably, accomplishing nothing. I read also that the NAACP has filed complaint with the Department of Education against Fairfax County, Virginia, just outside of Washington, because its high school for the very bright, Thomas Jefferson High, doesn’t have enough blacks.
Probably I should give up reading.
It never ends. Charges of discrimination, demands for special privilege, endless laws, wringing of teeth and gnashing of hands, lowered standards, no positive results, and start over again. Continue reading
