Disabled Marine rifles at inauguration signal shift in administration policy | Sipsey

“The bolts have been removed from the rifles rendering them unable to fire a round,” the post stated. “Apparently Obama’s Secret Service doesn’t trust the USMC. Simply searching each guy to make sure he didn’t have a live round hidden on him wasn’t enough, they had to make sure the guns were inoperable.”  Posted by Dutchman6 at 8:19 AM

I had to laugh at this one. I believe that the only monument where the Guard carries live ammunition is/was the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. 3d ID/”the Old Guard”, US Army. In years past, they did in fact have the M-1 Garands loaded with live M2 Ball, but I recall they went to carrying the weapon empty but with ammunition on their person. Today, who knows? A friend long gone was on the detail of the Old Guard with Eisenhower, and JFK funerals, plus a few I don’t remember what he said, but I recall that the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier, the Guard had Orders to fire upon anyone attempting to desecrate the monument, back in the days of hippies protesting the Vietnam War. Today everything is a mess. Maybe the active duty people also, have been labeled “terrorists” by the Obama Regime of butt plugs. (Emphasis on “butt plugs”, that’s all they are good for).

By the Way: For anyone that remembers the M-1 and the M-14, they use a rolling bolt that can be pulled at disassembly of the weapon in no time flat. A live bolt with firing pin can easily be carried in pocket or palmed, and the weapon breakdown, bolt swap, and reassembly will only take about 50 seconds. Chamber live 7.62/.308 ammo, knife hand the bolt handle to chamber a live round, and it all is a done deal in a grand total of 60 seconds. Wow! It just gave a new meaning to, “Gone In Sixty Seconds”! 😉 Oh, yeah…

Dear God, look at 1:07 time mark, Fidel would be proud. You know if anyone in that unit needs a bolt I might one or two to spare. Just saying,

What a despicable and sad day for the Corp.
Bravo 8th & I, I would have refused to march in that formation. Sorry.
    I want to puke.
